🎨 How to color it

Color the sea turtle’s shell olive green, its scaly head and flippers sandy tan, the current ribbons pale aqua, and the bubbles light blue. Use sharp colored pencils for the small scale patterns on the face and front flippers, then switch to longer side-strokes for the flowing water lines. Try shading the currents from turquoise to deep teal so the turtle looks as if it is swimming through a soft underwater path.

Before the sea wore ribbons, Nella set herself a quiet challenge: follow one silver bubble all the way up without blinking. She pushed through cool green water, past the hush of drifting sand, while the bubble ticked above her like a tiny bell. Each time she nearly touched it, the sea slid sideways and carried it away.

“Wait for me,” Nella whispered, though her voice came out in soft blubs. Curious, she followed harder. The bubble curved left, then right, then left again, tracing paths where warm water brushed cold water. Nella’s flippers stirred those paths into long waving lines. More bubbles joined, wobbling along the same hidden roads.

By sunset, every turtle could see where the water wanted to go. Ever since, currents have worn ribbons so wanderers can chase their questions safely; if you spot the smallest bubble, can you trace Nella’s first silver path?
