🎨 How to color it

Layer the fox in burnt orange and cream, the leafy mandala border in olive green, and the tiny paw pads in soft cocoa. Use sharp colored pencils and work from the outer circle inward so the leaf veins, spirals, and narrow tail bands stay crisp. Try a mischievous hidden glow by blending amber around the fox’s nose and tail curl, as if the nap is powered by stolen sunlight.

Every day, Rook circled the old sundial courtyard three times, then attempted his private challenge: nap with his nose, tail, and all four paws tucked inside the carved noon ring. The stone smelled of warm dust and thyme. The sparrows above him clicked their beaks like tiny judges. One day, to improve the difficulty, he painted an extra shadow with blackberry juice.

Because of that, the bees followed the sweet stripe. Because of that, the sundial keeper came out muttering about “criminal fruit mathematics,” and Rook, trying not to laugh, rolled into the ring so tightly that every curl of him fit. The keeper paused, the sparrows went silent, and the real shadow slid across his back like a cool ribbon. Finally, she left a saucer of water beside him and renamed the hour Fox O’Clock. Rook slept exactly where he belonged, inside the carved noon ring.
