🎨 How to color it

Color the sloth cocoa brown with a cream face, make the curved branch mossy green, and give the split jungle leaves bright lime and deep forest greens. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the sloth’s big belly and the wide leaves, and don’t worry if little hands color over the lines. Try making the vines two different greens so they twist around the branch like jungle ribbons.

The story behind this coloring page

Zuzu’s Secret Swing Game — Every afternoon, under the warm green roof of the canopy, Zuzu hooked her claws over the bendy branch and played Tip-Tap Swing. Read the full story →

Every afternoon, under the warm green roof of the canopy, Zuzu hooked her claws over the bendy branch and played Tip-Tap Swing. She had just invented it: tap one leaf, swing under the branch, tap another, and collect the highest leaf-token before the parrots squawked three times. Until one day, a hard rain rattled the vines—drip, drum, splash—and washed the tiny ants’ seed boat into a puddle far below.

Because of that, Zuzu let go of her best leaf-token and slid along the branch to hook a vine. Because of THAT, the vine swung low enough for the seed boat to bump safely onto a fern, while the ants marched away without ever seeing who helped. Zuzu only smiled and started Tip-Tap Swing again, with muddy toes and no prize. Next time you spot her upside down on that branch, can you guess which vine made the secret rescue?
