🎨 How to color it

Color the spinosaurus spring green, its tall back sail coral orange, the river rocks soft gray, and the leafy plants bright jungle green. The big body and tail are perfect for chunky crayons or broad marker strokes, while the sail stripes can be filled one panel at a time. Try making every other sail panel a sunny yellow so the spinosaurus looks ready for a parade.

The story behind this coloring page

Past the warm river rocks, Rizzo stomped with a splish, splash, splish, shaking fern dust from his toes. He wanted to show somebody the brand-new rhythm his feet had found on the muddy bank. His tall sail bobbed like a flag, and the little clouds above seemed to bounce along. “Hear this?” he called to the buzzing reeds.

Splish, splash, SPLASH came an answer. Rizzo blinked. A tiny green tree frog hopped from a broad leaf and slapped the puddle with both feet: plip-plap! Rizzo laughed so hard his tail made a swoosh in the sand. Soon the riverbank had a whole song—big dinosaur steps, tiny frog taps, leaves clapping in the breeze. Rizzo’s joy felt too large for one mouth, so he shared it with every fern and cloud; if you peek at those rocks, can you hear the next splish waiting?
