🎨 How to color it

Color the eagle’s feathers golden brown, the beak sunny yellow, the heart clouds cotton-candy pink, and the little stars lemon yellow. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big wings and round cloud hearts, and don’t worry if color hops over the thick lines. Try making the eagle’s shiny eyes dark brown with tiny white sparkle spots left uncolored.

Under the hush-hush stars, Wren tucked a tiny star button under one wing. It had fallen from her night blanket, and she wanted it back on before sleep. A soft tink sound came from beyond the heart clouds. Wren flapped out, shivering in the cool silver air.

Past three sleepy stars, she found a small cloud room with no light inside. A baby moth rubbed cold wings together. Wren pressed her star button into the cloud wall. Glow! The room turned honey warm. “You can keep it,” Wren whispered, and flew home lighter than before. Next time you see her wide wings between the heart clouds, can you spot the secret she left behind?
